National TV Free Week Goals
The fourth week in April is National TV free week. This sounds like it could be a challenge for many of us (me included). I've been trying to be better at my screen time in general, but this is a great excuse to kick it for a full week!
Here's a fun list of things you can do instead of watching the tube (organized by category, of course):
Active:
Play with your pet
Go Camping
Go for a walk
Go Rock Climbing
Meditate
Do yoga
Play with your kids
Go for a bike ride
Go for a hike
Find free to-dos in your town or city
Throw a frisbee
Play kickball
Have a picnic
Have a bonfire
Make a fort
Dance
Do a workout

Learn/Try Something New:
Find a free concert in your area
Go to a Museum
Go to the Library
Take up a new skill (knitting, woodworking, dancing, drawing, etc)
Read a Book
Try a new board game or card game
Learn Cribbage if you don't know it!
Something Kind for Friends/Family:
Write a hand-written letters or postcards
Write a thank-you note to someone and show gratitude
Pick up the phone and call someone
Plan a lunch or dinner date with a friend
Brighten People's day:
Volunteer at your local food pantry
Collect trash during a walk
Donate blood
Foster a pet
Make hand-out bags for the less fortunate
Join Big Brother Big Sister
Practice Self-Care:
Do some dry skin brushing (a fun tutorial by Joy McCarthy)
Try abhyanga- a self-oil massage (more info here)
Take a warm bath
Do a coconut oil hair mask before shampooing (read here)
Get a pedicure, or give yourself one
Paint your nails
Get a haircut
Meditate
Do a face-mask (try combining honey & cinnamon)
Do nothing for 10 minutes (Tedtalk)
